It's free to download and play a full first season. An optional one-time Full Game unlock lets your career continue season after season, and there are optional Club Credits packs you never need to buy. No ads, no subscription, no tracking.
What is Challenge Mode?
A set of hand-crafted scenarios played on the same live match engine, with brutal starts like a points deduction, a fire-sale or a relegation fight, each with one clear objective to beat. Two are free to try, and the other 21 come with the one-time Full Game unlock. Winning earns honours and a shareable victory card, never an in-game advantage.
Do I play the matches or just watch?
You manage every match live. Set the formation, XI and tactics, then steer the game across both halves: change your approach from the touchline at any minute, make substitutions, shout instructions and give the half-time team talk while the match plays out minute by minute in Broadcast 3D or a classic 2D view.
Which leagues can I manage in?
Sixteen leagues across Europe: England's top four divisions and the top two of Spain, Italy, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Portugal, each with a full fixture list and promotion and relegation between them.
Does it need an internet connection?
The solo game is offline. Your whole career runs on your iPhone with no connection needed. The app goes online only for optional Multiplayer Leagues, where a few friends play one shared season together, for in-app purchases through the App Store, and to check for game updates. From version 1.4.2, if you are signed in to Game Center, your achievements and challenge scores also go to Apple, never to us.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, through optional Multiplayer Leagues. One player creates a private league with an invite code, a few friends join and each manages their own club, and you all play one shared season in the same world. It needs the Full Game unlock and a connection; everything else plays solo with no connection needed.
Are the club and player names real?
Football Club Sim 27 is an independent game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any league, club or organisation. Names are text-only with no crests or logos, and a Generic Names setting swaps every league, club and player name for a fictional one.
Do you collect my data?
No accounts and no tracking. Your career is saved on your device and never sent to us. If you join an optional Multiplayer League, our server keeps only what that league needs: a random player ID, the nickname you choose and the league's results. The only other data is the purchase record Apple and our payments provider handle when you make an in-app purchase. Exporting a save hands a file to the iOS share sheet; where it goes is your choice, and the game itself sends nothing. From version 1.4.2 your careers and settings can also sync through your own private iCloud, which we cannot read; you can turn it off in Settings. From version 1.4.2, if you are signed in to Game Center, your achievements and challenge scores also go to Apple, never to us.
Can I run more than one save?
Yes. With the Full Game unlock you can run several careers in multiple save slots, take new jobs on the job market, and keep your honours and records as you climb.
Is this the 2026/27 season?
Yes. Football Club Sim 27 is built around the 2026/27 season, with sixteen European leagues and up-to-date squads, so every career and Multiplayer League starts from a fresh 2026/27 campaign.
Is FC Sim 2027 the same game as Football Club Sim 27?
Yes. Football Club Sim 27, FC Sim 27 and FC Sim 2027 are all the same game, named for the 2026/27 season it's built around. There is one app on the App Store and one website, playfcsim.com.
Which platforms is it on?
It's built for iPhone and available now on the App Store. From version 1.4.2 it also runs on iPad, with a sidebar and screens laid out side by side, and iCloud keeps your careers in step between your iPhone and iPad.
