This page explains our use of cookies and tracking for Football Club Sim 26, both the game and the website at playfcsim.com. In short: the app uses no cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind. The website uses one advertising-measurement tool, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which sets cookies. Everything is described below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between page views and visits. Some are essential to a site working; others are used to track or measure how a site is used. On this website, the only cookies are those set by the Meta Pixel described below.
The Meta Pixel (website only)
This website loads the Meta Pixel, a measurement tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook / Instagram). We use it to understand how our advertising performs, for example which of our ads bring people to the site or the App Store, and to show relevant ads to people who have visited. To do this the Pixel sets cookies in your browser (such as _fbp) and sends Meta your IP address, basic browser and device information, and the pages you view on this site. That information is handled by Meta under Meta's own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, email or any contact details through the Pixel; we only see aggregate advertising results.
The Meta Pixel runs only on the website. The app contains no Pixel, no analytics and no advertising SDK. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what the app does and does not handle.
The game
The app carries no cookies, no analytics and no advertising SDK, and uses no advertising identifier (no IDFA, no ATT prompt). Your career is saved on your device and never sent to us. The only third-party service the app uses is the App Store purchase provider that delivers in-app purchases and "Restore Purchases", described in the Privacy Policy.
How to opt out
You can stop the website's Pixel from tracking you by blocking third-party cookies or trackers in your browser (or by using a content blocker), and you can manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Meta ad preferences. The site is fully usable with cookies blocked. The app is unaffected either way, as it carries no Pixel.
What we still don't do
Apart from the Meta Pixel on the website, we use no other analytics or tracking. There is no session recording or heatmapping, and no advertising SDK or advertising identifier (no IDFA) in the app.
Changes
If how we measure usage or advertising ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page, with a new "last updated" date above.
